Tri Marine First in Industry to Obtain ISO Global Traceability Certification by DNV. Tuna supply company also announces ISO Quality Management System standard for its entire global operation.

BELLEVUE, Wash. (February 8, 2022) – Tri Marine, a global leading tuna supply company, was recently recognized as the first tuna trading company in the world to obtain ISO 22005:2007 certification from the leading certification body DNV which focuses on the traceability in the feed and food chain. It was also awarded certifications by DNV to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard for all of its eight trading and operations offices and to the ISO 22005:2007 Global Traceability standard in its tuna food chain. By meeting the extensive criteria of these rigorous and well-regarded ISO standards, Tri Marine further demonstrates its commitment to doing the right thing by achieving Global Traceability certification of its supply chain, while consistently delivering quality services to its customers and suppliers.

More about the ISO 9001:2015 certification: The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 is the most updated standard of its kind for quality management systems. All eight Tri Marine offices are certified specifically for Trading of Tuna and Technical Services, including development of contract specifications, quality control, inspection activities, and support to production. With the new certification in hand, Tri Marine offices are able to provide improved services with a strong focus on customers and their satisfaction.

More about the ISO 22005:2007 certification: ISO 22005:2007 focuses on the traceability in the feed and food chain. Tri Marine is the first tuna trading company in the world to obtain this certification from DNV, a truly remarkable achievement. The traceability of Tri Marine’s supply chain has been certified for frozen tuna (whole round or semi-processed), chilled and frozen pre-cooked loins and flakes, and shelf stable products.
