Devotion

"The people of Talaud are all devoted to what they do. We live together harmoniously as a community but have always longed for a time where the world could see and embrace our appreciation for the nature and the traditions we worship and preserve. It was not until we got the chance to meet Anthony and Aninda— two people who embrace our philosophy— that we could share our belief as the guardians of the ocean. Living on a coastal island, the waters hold a special place in each of our hearts. Therefore, we express our gratitude and take special care of our oceans every day. With this instilled upon us as children, we use traditional methods to fish as we know that this way, the integrity of our oceans and the rich biodiversity living in them are appreciated.”
